Wang Yam was convicted of murder on 16th January 2009 after the only murder trial to be held partly in secret.
On 31st October 2014 judgment was handed down at the Administrative Court rejecting Mr Wang Yam’s challenge to the Hon Mr Justice Ouseley’s refusal to allow Mr Yam to place secret parts of the trial before the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR)
This ruling is believed to be the first of its type and has the potential to increase the tension between the UK and the ECtHR
