Alex is a senior solicitor working in our highly-ranked criminal practice. He has over ten years’ post-qualification experience of adversarial litigation, primarily in a criminal but also regulatory and extradition context. He represents clients charged with all manner of allegations, but with a particular focus on the most serious, grave or complex offences. He runs a caseload including murder, major drugs conspiracies, extradition, complex fraud and terrorism.

Alex has also built a following and referral network of private clients, often under investigation for offences less serious on the criminal spectrum but which still bring potentially devastating consequences to lives, reputations and careers.

Alex has represented clients in a number of high-profile cases and has earned an excellent reputation for representing secondary parties in joint enterprise murder cases. Since 2020 he has been instructed in a number of cases arising out of Operation Venetic and the compromise of Encrochat by the French and Dutch authorities.

Alex prides himself on being able to deal with any type of criminal offence during pre and post charge stages and understands the value of early, quality advice and preparation.
