Yesterday our client attended before Mr Justice Leech, having voluntarily surrendered herself to the Court.

Janes Solicitors instructed Mr Liam Walker of Doughty Street Chambers to act to appear on behalf of Ms Khan.   He successfully submitted that the Bench Warrant issued by Mr Justice Fancourt of the 24th November 2021 should be discharged and the trial of the Contempt Claim should be adjourned.    A new date has been set for the 17thDecember 2021.

Ms Khan has a serious injury to her hand and she is hopeful that the necessary surgery will take place imminently.

As this is an ongoing matter we are not able to go into the details of our client’s case at this stage. She intends tofully put forward her position before the Court when the matter is tried.
